From a Prisoner in Arkansas

From a prisoner in AR…To Whom This May Concern; I appreciate the very informative letter and listed scripture that explain Biblical views regarding baptism. I plan to complete my re-dedication to Christ upon my release by being re-baptized. (He was sprinkled as a baby). I thank you , Bob and Maureen, so much for taking the time to explain this matter in depth, backed by Scripture. It’s fellow believers such as you both that keep lonely Christians like myself, in this temporary hell I have created, going strong through Christ. I can’t begin to tell you what a blessing you both are to me along with this Bible course! I thank you for your time and look forward to possibly hearing from the both of you soon. Sincerely, your brother in Christ…

Wilson Avenue Baptist Church Aurora Missouri

Maureen and I had the opportunity to teach and present our ministry at Wilson Avenue Baptist Church (Aurora Missouri) on October 17, 2021.

We had a great time, and appreciate the generosity of the church. I have been hosting their website since February.

Bob and Maureen Hoffman September/October 2021 Newsletter

“When you go on the internet, please pray for the Hoffman Family – your missionaries to Cyberspace.”

Volume 34 Issue 5 (September/October/2021)

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

The Latest News:

  • We will be heading up to Wilson Avenue Baptist Church in Aurora Missouri on 10/17/2021. We have been hosting a website for them, and we have been invited to present the ministry.
  • Our hosting provider is raising their rates. We also had to get a new server (much less expensive than the current provider) due to volume (adding websites which is a good thing). Please pray for wisdom!

Church Website Ministry:

  • Maureen and I met John McElroy from BEAMS (Bible Education and Missionary Service) at the 2019 East Texas Baptist Camp Meeting. He told me then he was interested in a personal BEAMS ministry website, and he would contact me. We met again at this years (2021) East Texas Baptist Camp Meeting. Again he told me he would contact me. This time he did contact me. We met together, and worked out the details on what he was wanting to accomplish. He decided on a domain name of mcelroy-beams.com. We set up a WordPress website. I spent some time with Brother McElroy, explaining how to set up and maintain his website. John McElroy did not have a computer. Given the difficulty of trying to maintain a website from his cell phone or tablet, I gave him an old laptop I had. Everything seemed to work out fine. John now has a working website and a function computer to make changes on it.

Again, thank you so much for the Bible study. God bless you.
  • A student in Alabama writes: Yes, this last lesson was a little hard. Thank you for being a great teacher to help me find the right answers. Thank you for such good people like yourself. Thank you.

Temple Baptist Church in Sumter South Carolina

I was contacted by Pastor Brian Magaw of Temple Baptist Church in Sumter South Carolina about a “rescued” domain (tbaptist.org).Temple Baptist Church

We “rescued” tbaptist.org back in 2016 and have had a generic website up for them.

Pastor Magaw wanted to know what he had to do to “take control” of their domain.

After explaining to Pastor Brian all that we do (hosted on professional servers, added security, on and offsite backups, managed WordPress hosting etc.) he decided to keep the domain on our hosting.

I set up WordPress for Temple Baptist Church, and set up a basic website.

I worked with Pastor Brian to choose a template and plugins that he and his wife liked.

We tweaked the website and I spent time training Pastor Magaw on how to work on WordPress.

Temple Baptist Church in Sumter South Carolina now has a working WordPress website under their control. Check them out at https://tbaptist.org.
