Post Surgery Day 7

I had my follow up doctor’s appointment today. The news was excellent.

They did remove the JP Drain.  They will be keeping the catheter in for another week.

The lab results were back from the tissue he removed. The cancer was super aggressive. The Gleason score was actually a 9 (up from an 8 – the highest is a 10!).

The good news is the cancer has not spread beyond the prostate. No sign of cancer in the lymph nodes or the prostate bed. The surgery removed ALL the cancer, God is good!. Psalm 100:5

I have another follow up appointment next Monday to have the catheter removed. I have stopped walking and taken to stair climbing for my “ambulatory” functions. That takes all the pressure off the heal of my foot, which feels much better now. I am sure it is plantar fasciitis. The doctor said I am doing very well. The surgery site is healing great.

The catheter is just a pain, but considering the alternative I think everything has gone fantastically.

Again I thank all this that have been praying for me!
