Was called in to take open run to Oklahoma City Oklahoma. I told dispatch I could not safely get to work. It is 27 degrees and raining. I have 1/4 inch of ice on my vehicle. The roads and my driveway are starting to freeze. They were going to book me off for refusing an assignment. I told them the company stance is that “If you cannot do it safely don’t do it.” I then asked if he, as a company representative, was demanding I do something unsafe. He told me “no, they were just going to book me off for 12 hours.”
