A driver is supposed to be given a two hour call at their home domicile, a one hour call from an away location (two hours from the time of the call until you are supposed to report to the work location). Occasionally a driver books off late or a breakdown occurs and dispatch gives you a "short call." "Can you get down there as soon as possible, or in an hour and a half…" You do NOT have to accept a short call, you can require the full one or two hours to report.
