Post Surgery Day 1241

I went back to the urologist yesterday and go my PSA numbers.

The PSA is still creeping up slowly. It was .12.

I asked how high it had to go before he decided it was cancer again.

The doctor said 0.2 and they assume the cancer has returned.

I asked what happens at that point.

There is no further screening if the PSA passes .2, they will suggest radiation at that time, no testing, no way to verify cancer.

He said he is still not worried at this time, he hopes the PSA will find a number and stabilize, possibly even drop a little again. His feeling is that there was no indication that cancer has spread from the prostate they examined after removal, coupled with the fact that the PSA stayed at 0 for 2 1/2 years.

So, we are in a wait and see mode.
